Yea, I've been looking for a recipe for this! Question: I can never get jam to set up unless I use pectin. Do you think using a box of sure jell would work with this recipe? Looks like the right amount of fruit and sugar to me! What say you??? Thanks
ReplyDeleteYes, I'd use a box of SureJell. I have the same issues with jam setting up. ~~Granny
DeleteThanks. Going to give this a try today with the pectin....fingers crossed!
DeleteGood luck... let us know how it turns out! ~~Granny
DeleteUpdate: Using a box of regular sure jell worked perfectly! I just followed the directions on the box. Thanks again for the recipe.
DeletePlace fruit with sugar in the pan bring to boil then cut the stove off, let set over night,on the stove, the next morning bring back to boil then cut down to medium simmer, stir often after 2 hours bring back to boil for 30 minutes over medium heat, will be thick and ready to process, without all the sliders of fruit all over the stove.
